Take Thyme For Herbs on July 18th 2009

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 18th from 9am to noon and you’ll be rewarded with a wealth of information about herbs and a completed project to aid you in the kitchen. Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will lead participants through a three part program at the Extension office on Rte 88 north of Newark.
One session will cover propagation and drying of a variety of herbs. A second session will cover putting together an herbal wreath to take home and in the third session we’ll talk about designing a container garden
using herbs. While most of the morning will deal with culinary herbs, herbs used for their fragrances and decorative qualities will also be covered.

This program promises to be an informative and valuable morning. You’ll come away with lots of ideas for ways to use herbs in your home and an herbal wreath to make your kitchen even more inviting. Workshop cost is $12.00 and the registration deadline is July 10th (space is limited so early registration is recommended).
