Eat Smart New York program is a partnerhip with Cornell Cooperative Extension Wayne County, Wayne County Department of Social Services, USDA and Cornell University. This is a educational program that provides FREE assistance with:

  • Stretching food dollars
  • Planning, shopping and cooking healthy meals
  • Cooking for a family
  • Nutrition during pregnancy
  • Feeding your baby
  • Picky eaters
  • Weight control and physical activity
  • Food safetyAll Foodstamp applicants and recipients, Head Start families, WIC families, Medicaid and SSI recipents and others who meet income guidelines are eligible for this program.

    Sessions to help participants meet their specific needs will be provided by trained community nutrition educators in your home or other convenient location.
