As an outgrowth of the “Exploring the Small Farm Dream” workshop held in winter of 2007, this website will continue to be updated with resources for those interested in starting or continuing a small farm. The term “small farm” is self selected and we hope that no matter what size farm you have, you will find the resources below helpful to your future!

If you have any links that would be beneficial for this website please contact our office at 315-331-8415. Thanks, and enjoy your exploration!

Business Planning for New and Beginning Farm Owners was offered in the fall of 2008. This workshop is for those that have started a farm business and expands upon lessons explored int the workshop “Exploring the Small Farm Dream”.

If you are interested in taking this workshop in the future, please email Judy Glann, to get on the mailing list for future information.

Exploring the Small Farm Dream Workshop:
This workshops was offered in March 2010.   This workshop has been a great success in the past and several farms have started in Wayne and surrounding counties as a result.   There is an application process for this workshop.

We are not planning a workshop for 2011. CCE Wayne is partnering with the Cornell Small Farms Program to offer on on line beginning farmer course. Please email Beth if you want more info when specifics become available.
