CCE Staff and the Board of Directors are actively engaging the community in feedback on the 2012-2015 Plan of Work. This is our working document incorporating community needs with activities and issues that are appropriate to CCE Wayne and all of the related extension teams that work with CCE: Lake Ontario Fruit Team, Cornell Vegetable Team, NWNY Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops Team, Lake Plains 4-H and Youth Development Team. The drafts of the five Plans of Work are listed below. We will be having a public forum for input to these plans on Monday night, April 30 at 7pm, here at the CCE office. We welcome your input! Please call the office, 315-331-8415 for registration. If you have any questions, please talk with Beth Claypoole, Executive Director.

We currently have an opening on our Board of Directors! Persons with an interest in serving a three year term as a member of our Board of Directors are encouraged to submit an application throughout the year. Individuals who bring a diverse perspective and are supportive of diversity are strongly encouraged to apply. Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at the CCE Office in Newark. The Board of Directors sets direction for all current and new programs of Cornell Cooperative Extension Wayne County, in addition to having responsibility for finance and human resources for the association. Applications will be accepted continually. There are special eligibility requirements, please check Article V of the Constitution, found on our “About Us” tab located above.

Master Gardeners are now in the office on Tuesdays and Fridays April through the end of October from 9am to noon to answer you garden and landscape questions. During non-hotline hours and throughout the winter we will respond to messages left on our gardening hotline voicemail at (315)331-8415 ext. 107 or you can e-mail questions to mgwayne@cornell.edu If you use our voicemail please include a daytime number where we can reach you.
The Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardner program is a program run with and for our specially trained volunteers. Only those volunteers who have completed 100+ hours of training and have passed an exam can consider themselves Master Gardeners. We are very proud of our dedicated group of volunteers!
