Tioga County Agriculture
Tioga County participates in two regional agriculture programs, the South Central New York Agriculture Team (SCNYAG) and the Tompkins, Cortland, Tioga (TCT) Dairy Team. They provide specialists who assist commercial farmers and growers in Chemung, Cortland, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties.
Tioga County Specialist
The Fruit and Vegetable Production Specialist, Molly Shaw, works out of CCE Tioga, and publishes Southern Tier Produce News, which goes to 225 growers in the region. Blueberry Pest Monitoring: In 2006, Molly monitored blueberry fruitworm moths and blueberry maggot flies on several farms in the South Central New York area.
