Project Summary and Intended Outcomes
Since 2005 research has been going on in Northern New York to determine if grapes can survive. Research has shown that a number of varieties of grapes can survive in Northern New York. This has led to the establishment of vineyards and wineries across the region. However research has not been done yet to help determine the winery portion of establishment in Northern New York. People are planting a vineyard and do not have any current information on winery establishment cost or necessary winery production equipment size based on yield of grapes.
