Human Ecology
Mission:
To provide educational programs that enable Herkimer County residents to make food and lifestyle choices that promote health and reduce risk of chronic disease.
Objectives:
- Encourage youth and families to adopt positive dietary and lifestyle practices for specific life-cycle stages to promote wellness.
- Promote collaboration and networking to form partnerships and coalitions to develop, deliver, evaluate, and fund wellness programming efforts.
- Promote dialogue about food, agriculture, and health issues that are important to individual and community health needs.
Nutrition Education Program for limited resource individuals and families: Nutrition Program Educators are available to help limited income families and individuals throughout Herkimer County stretch their food dollars.
