The State 4- H office is pleased to share the 2009 Career Explorations Conference information with you!  A pouch mailing will be coming your way this week (please look for it on Friday or when you typically get your pouch mailing).  It will include program descriptions, a letter to educators, registration details, vita template, and forms for Focus Assistants and scholarships.  We are working on the on-line registration — we’ll let you know as soon as it is posted.  Great new program options — take a look & do ask if you have any questions.

March Dog Madness (MDM), an annual NYS 4-H Dog Leader Training Program, will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Cornell.

Capital Days Registration – due by Feb 6

The 4-H Capital Days event Registration details are available (and on-line registration is live) at http://nys4h.cce.cornell.edu/program/CapitalDays.php This year’s event will be held:
March 2-3, 2009
Clarion Hotel of Albany4-H Capital Days has been occurring for over 70 years and continues to give youth an opportunity to achieve a better understanding of the New York public policy process and state/local government relations, meet and interact with legislators and tell their 4-H story, create an awareness of career opportunities in New York state government and network with delegates from other counties.If you have questions, or have a need for additional participants, contact Brian Gilchrist, btg5@cornell.edu.
Please complete the on-line form and send your payment (check payable to 4-H Capital Days) and form to:Payment is due by February 6th. You will not be registered until you have registered on-line and payment is received. Registration fee of $150 includes Monday night hotel and meals. Day participant fee (no hotel) = $100. Sunday night fee = $50. Committee members note that your fee is $75.

As you likely know, this event is brought to you by the NYS Association of Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H Educators.

Delegates are chosen by their county 4-H program. Registration should be completed by CCE staff. Please register up to two participants, one alternate and a chaperone.
