Hi,
my 13 year old son is a passionate gardener and has expressed an interest in planting a "grove" of trees on our 1 acre property in the village of New Paltz, NY. I took him on an exploratory trip to a local landscape supplier and he was extremely disheartened to find out the prices of the trees and shrubs (some were as high as $300) as he is attempting to finance this on his allowance and babysitting money.
He is mainly interested in evergreen trees, flowering and fruit trees, and mountain laurel bushes. Do you know of any less expensive sources I could lead him to? I would be most grateful for any help you can give me.
Thank you,
Karen N Gavin
